Cast: Amy Adams, Jason Segel and Chris Cooper

Movie Release Date: November 23, 2011

Review:

The Muppets movie for the year 2011 may really be the greatest muppet movie ever made. It revolves around the muppets’ struggle to save their memorable theater. As usual, Kermit is the lead and will be the one to unite the muppets again to save their Muppet Studios in bright Hollywood. To be able to do that, they will be helped by some friends and they will put together a new show to be able to garner 10 million people to pay and contribute to the money they need to raise and all will be well.

Jason Segel is starring in the movie but what could be surprising is that he is also writing it. Though he is not entirely responsible for the screenplay, his team up with Nicholas Stoller, who was also with Segel in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, can be a blast. The director of The Muppet Movie is James Bobin, who has not much theatrical experience, yet he did wrote, produced, and directed a series of episodes aired in HBO. His projects include Da Ali G Show and Flight of the Conchords. So we know that he has a funny side.

After his stint at Forgetting Sarah Marshall, this is the second attempt of Jason Segel in screenwriting. We will see if he has enough potential to go on for succeeding movies. But since Segel has already proved that he is a talented actor, then it is not difficult to see him as a talented screenwriter. Plus, he is a hardworking guy

Review:

So a crowd of college students are steering dead set the hills of eastern United States to camp. Also trailing the same way are certified bushwhackers Dale and Tucker who are both excited to death for these two men have accomplished a lifelong ambition in buying a hillside summer house. You could call it a tumble-down shack, but they still call it their kingdom and we’re supposed to be happy for the two them.

Now Chad, the college kid who’s preppy because he has some fashion by wearing his collar up, tells he group one of those scary movie campfire tales that scares the crap out of everybody, so everyone just decides to go skinny dipping. The pack of college kids also has in their group black person Jason that is played by awesome Brandon Jay McLaren, plus another black person Naomi is played by equally good Christie Laing. Both of them were also seen in Sea Beast, where both of them played the role of a couple as well.

What’s actually really good about Tucker and Dale vs. Evil is that it is one of the most hilarious movies you could ever see. Though we know that a lot of comedy flicks have already been released this year, this movie is actually something that you would still want to see even if you have been loaded with a lot of funny stories already.

Review:

Another comedy flick set to hit the theaters this year is Tower Heist starring outrageously funny Eddie Murphy and classic comedy film man Ben Stiller. It revolves around a pack of blue-collar men who are screwed by their boss and robbed them of their pension, so to make it even, they decide to get back what was originally theirs and plan to rob him in his tower.

So the guys, who work their ass off to support their families, had their pension funds ripped off by the bad guy Bernie Madoff (with a surname like that, anyone would think that he will rob you) and his character is played well by Alan Alda. The guys who felt betrayed then decides to have a revenge on the scoundrel in his tower. Whether they make it or break it, it is up to us to see the movie. Murphy has been successful in the Shrek series being the voice of Donkey, and Stiller has had his share of funny films like the Focker trilogy. Getting the two of them together is not yet a certain click, but this movie will tell.

Brett Ratner is the director of the movie. It is quite interesting that he took this project since he was the director of X-Men: Last Stand which has a totally different genre compared to a comedy like this. However, since we already know that he has what it takes to produce a good movie, then this film may turn out to be good, too.
