As Elizabeth Gilbert, Roberts plays the role of a woman who’s hoping to add a baby to her and her husband’s life. Seemingly content, it isn’t until she acknowledges her need to go in a new direction with her life that she learns that her marriage wasn’t strong enough to whether the change. One painful divorce later, Gilbert finally takes her fate in her own hands and begins on a journey that will take her from one end of the world and back. A dramatic chick flick to add to the list of 2010 movie releases, and one that is almost guaranteed to satisfy if for no other reason than that Julia Roberts is the leading lady.
