Directed and written by Nicholas Stoller, Get Him to the Greek was released in June of 2010. A comedy, the film stars Jonah Hill, Russell Brand, Rose Byrne, Zoe Salmon, Lino Facioli, Lars Ulrich, Mario Lopez, Pink, Billy Bush, Kurt Loder, Christina Aguilera, and Sean Combs. The point of the movie is that a record company intern (Jonah Hill) has been assigned the dubious task of escorting rock star Aldous Snow (Russell Brand) to a concert being held in the Greek Theater in L.A. It would have been a simple enough assignment is the rocker in question wasn’t completely insane in addition to being British. The film had some good moments but many of the scenes fell short as far as expectations from fans were concerned. A better blending of the strong points of both the actors and the script could have gone a long way towards making this film stand out, rather than simply being another rock film statistic
