Green Lantern is a forthcoming film that is based on the adaptation of a comic book character having the same name that appears in DC Comics. It is an action and Science fiction that is scheduled for release on June 17, 2011 in 3D format. This American English language film is directed by Martin Campbell based on a novel titled Green Lantern written by Bill Finger, Martin Nodell, John Broome and Gil Kane. The movie’s screenplay is written by Greg Berlant, Michael Green and Marc Guggenheimm, and produced by Donald De Line and Greg Berlanti with the music of the film composed by James Newton Howard.

The cinematography is by Don Beebe, editing by Stuart Baird and distributed by Warner Bros.

The story is centered about the universe which is as vast as it is mysterious and with a small but powerful force that exists from centuries. The universe has its protectors of peace and justice and is known as the Green Lantern Corps. They are a brotherhood of warriors who have sworn to keep intergalactic order and each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected – Hal Jordan who is all set to become the greatest Green Lantern of all.
