Knight and Day (2010)
Director: James Mangold
Cast: Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Peter Sarsgaard, Maggie Grace, Paul Dano, Marc Blucas, Viola Davis, Jordi Mollà
I never thought I’d see one of Charlie’s Angels star in a film with Mission Impossible man. James Mangold is responsible for directing this latest film starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. June (played by Diaz) lives a pretty normal life until the day she comes in contact with secret agent Roy Miller (Cruise). At first, he just seems like a nice guy that she met during her plane ride. It isn’t until he beats the crap out of the people sent to kill him that June begins to suspect that maybe things in their brief acquaintance have taken a wrong turn. It just so happens that Roy wasn’t supposed to come back alive from his last mission and now that June has been seen with him…well let’s just say she’s considered guilty just by association. Knight and Day is an endearing comedy with just enough thrills and actions sequences thrown in to keep things interesting.
