Another excellent interpretation of the battle between angels and humans. Only this time, it isn’t the angels starting the trouble. It is God. God is very disappointed in the humans. After centuries of watching the very beings He made His angels love destroy each other and themselves, He sends His angels down to Earth to exterminate them. But one angel has disobeyed the order, and is fighting to uphold the vow he made to love the humans. That angel is the Arch Angel Michael, played by Paul Bettany. This is not the Michael that John Travolta played-this one is very dark, cool, and serious. After all, it’s the entire human race on the line. This is a very good film with great effects that will make you jump out of your seat every so often, and although the concept of humans being destroyed by an angry God isn’t so uplifting, it is still a lot of fun to watch.
