Director: Susanna White
Cast: Ralph Fiennes, Ewan McGregor, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Emma Thompson, Maggie Smith

Director Mcphee did a truly bang up job on this movie. The first Nanny McPhee movie got me hooked and reminded me faintly of a kid’s book I used to read when I was younger combined with a tripped out version of Mary Poppins. In this newest installment, Nanny Mcphee once again swoops in to the rescue to do what British Nannies seem to do best. Which is scare the bejeezus out of prepubescents using magic and a cane filled with fairy dust. I sort of miss the original cast of characters and I would have liked it if there was a continuation of that storyline, but this one is good. With ne kids, new problems, and a new boss that’s just not getting any, Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang is a family comedy that stars Ralph Fiennes, Maggie Gyllenhall, Ewan McGregor (Nanny Mcphee), Emma Thompson, and Maggie Smith.
