Review:

Puss in Boots will surely be a big hit in the theaters since it is quite connected to the Shrek franchise. Shrek has ended its series with the fourth and final one– Shrek Forever After, and now Dreamworks wants to highlight the other characters in supporting roles in Shrek. The first one up is Puss in Boots.

Antonio Banderas is back to provide the solid, unique voice for Puss, and Chris Miller will direct it, who also co-directed the amazing Shrek the Third. He is right for the job since his resume speaks of history as an artist for animated films, being a voice actor and writer as well. Noting that Shrek has a great following of all ages, we can be certain that Puss in Boots can also be a box-office hit.

David H. Steinberg and Brian Lynch wrote the film. However we can expect more people to help in the screenplay since animated films are usually made in collaboration. This movie is actually a prequel to how Puss got into Shrek’s life.

Of course with a stunning production team to watch its back, Puss in Boots is surely well taken care of by Dreamworks. Dreamworks Animation will not release a sub-par quality of a film, so this should be good. Plus, a new take on how things went on around the Shrek world would be nice to know. Puss in Boots is now elevated from a sidekick to a bigtime hero.
