Director: Martin Scorsese

It is 1954, and Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio), a U.S. marshal is waiting to get an assignment somewhere in Shutter Island for his personal reasons. He turns lucky when he is told to work on a case that involves the sudden disappearance of Rachel Solando (Emily Mortimer), a patient from Boston’s Shutter Island Aschecliffe Hospital. Rachel had been admitted to the hospital after she was accused of drowning her three children. But even in the locked room of the hospital, she thought her children were alive, and soon managed to run away.
Interesting revelations soon begin to happen when Teddy manages to find a really strong lead on the case. But things are somehow not going in the right direction and the people at the hospital refuse to co-operate with Teddy by not letting him access some important documents that could help solve the case. Soon, Teddy begins to doubt everyone around him including his partner Chuck Aule (Mark Ruffalo). He even begins to feel that he is losing his sanity as a hurricane strikes the mainland and some criminals manage to escape.
