Review:
The Italian Job presents the audience with a complete entertainer, on a relatively skilled professional level. It’s one of those movies where you sit back with a tub of popcorn, relax and just go with the flow. F. Gary’s Italian Job is a slick fun filled action crime thriller with great chase scenes and done in a truly ingenious way. They plan to create the largest traffic jam in the history of L.A, to steal $35 million in gold bars from a safe in Venetian palazzo!
Mark Wahlberg stars as the criminal master mind, who takes retired Donald Sutherland for one last heist, the Italian Job. It is when one member gets greedy and decides to keep all the money for himself that the chase begins from Venice to the Austrian mountains then to Philadelphia and L.A. Gorgeous Charliez Theron, joins the gang to help them get the money back. All this sounds just like another bank robbery movie but what makes it different is the unique subplots, the direction and of course the excellent cast. The Italian Job may not live up to The Oceans’ series bench mark, but it is definitely impressive and worth your time and money.
