The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1994)
Director: Kim Henkel
Cast: Renée Zellweger, Matthew McConaughey, Robert Jacks
If the 70s was scary, the 80s was appalling, and the 21st century’s was completely unnecessary, then the 90s was a mistake that should have never seen the light of day.
It’s made even worse because most of the actors that played in this movie are such a big deal today and now whenever I see them I’ll have to laugh at them. Silently, and painfully, inside my own head. Renne Sellweger stars as Jenny, Mathew McConaughey (his participation in this wounds me the most) plays Volmer Slaughter (-.-), Robert Jacks plays Leatherface slaughter, and that is as far as I can go without growing violent over these name choices.
Directed by Kim Henkel, this particular massacre takes place after a bunch of teenagers leave their prom and get into a crash along a deserted Texas road. Whatever, I say they deserved it. I hope the fake chainsaw left bruises.
